How To Draw Good
Drawing is a cool skill, just in general. People doodle in class and stuff, you know? This was an idea I had in class and is done entirely on assignments for one class or another. I probably should make a more basic art stuff and such post, maybe later. These aren't my best drawings, they might not even be good drawings.
^^^^I hate when art books are like this. There have only been simple steps and your picture is just some lines and then they just show a perfect picture with the caption "Shade and add detail". Like no, there's at least two more steps in-between, stop saying that.
Eyeballs are super fun to draw and stuff. Now for eyes you just gotta. . . draw and eye shape. I showed you the three circle method, but I hate the circle method sooooooo. . . . Well the iris should be touching both sides of the eye and not just sorta floating in space. Lightly sketch where your highlights are and where the pupil should be. Now eyebrows are hard, it should arch around the iris. Now fill in the pupil and shade around the edge of the iris and above the eye for an eyelid. Also draw in some eyelashes. Now this is the tricky bit, draw hair in the eyebrow by making lines go in the directions you want. Now have some lines in the iris come from the pupil and others form the edges, draw in some eyelashes, and boom it's an eye. Quick note I forgot to shade the actual eye ball on the last one so mine looks flat, but some light shadows on both ends should do the trick.
So the image above is how to draw a nose because noses are weird. Also I didn't number the steps because I'm dumb so left to right and the one bellow is number 3 So the fist thing you want to do is lightly draw the circle and line situation shown above. Seriously it should be barely visible, don't make your guidelines super dark. So next you should draw the lines on your circle as shown in "2". Again be light, it should be light until you shade and darken and stuff. I added the third step because I was doing the art book thing. Now for 3 you should be looking at a picture of a nose, or my picture if you want yours to look like ass. Draw the shape of the nostrils from those little lines, again do it lightly. The reason everything should be light is the nose isn't seen as a jumble of lines, it appears more as shadows. Now darken the nostril, it should look kind of like a sideways comma. Shade where you see shadows in your reference.
Okay so this was bad and I'll probably not do it again for any more official blog days. I might do it more as just a hobby thing, but not just as a Friday/not Friday blog day.

I loved this, Jane! My son loves to draw and I am totally going to share this with him. Thanks!
